Envelope Book Cover

  • I wanted to make a gift for my book loving friend, something I knew she’d actually use and love!

This project was incredibly quick and simple, so if you’re short on time but still want to create something handmade, I can’t recommend it enough.

Plus, you’ll learn how to crochet little hearts, which you can use in so many other projects. Have fun with it!

    1. Start by crocheting a granny square big enough to wrap around your book when it’s folded like an envelope.

    2. Fold it into that envelope shape and sew up two of the sides.

    3. Crochet a little red heart and stitch it onto the front, this will be your “button.” Tie all knots on the inside so it looks nice and tidy.

    4. Weave in any loose ends.

    5. Gently stretch the hole at the tip of the envelope flap. This will be your “buttonhole” so you can secure the cover closed.

    6. Check out the video tutorials below for a closer look at each step!
